Mashed potato is great however it’s made, but when we want a real treat we make it a little naughty with lots of garlicky butter.

1 stick butter
3 cloves garlic
1 tbsp olive oil


  1.  Chop the potatoes and boil as you would usually
  2.  While the potatoes are cooking, in a small pan over low heat add the olive oil butter and cloves of garlic, leave the butter to melt and be infused with the garlic.
  3.   Once the potatoes are cooked, mash them, then pour in the garlic butter (including the garlic cloves) and mash till smooth.
